Abstract

This study aims to determine the values of Islamic Religious Education that are internalized in children with special needs (slow learners) and to find out the implementation in the internalization of Islamic Religious Education values in children with special needs (slow learners). The type of research used is a qualitative research method with data collection procedures using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity checking uses data triangulation techniques which are divided into two stages, namely triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the research that has been conducted are the values of Islamic Religious Education that are internalized in children with special needs (slow learners) and the implementation carried out in the internalization of Islamic Religious Education values. The results showed that the values of Islamic Religious Education internalized in children with special needs (slow learners) are Al-Qur'an values, worship values, sharia values, creed values and moral values. In internalizing these values, good implementation is needed and in accordance with the obstacles of students. The implementation carried out by special mentor teachers is exemplary, habituation and repetition, advice, demonstration and role playing.
